As an International Master of Engineering student with a major in Engineering Management at Cornell University, my journey here has been nothing short of transformative. From the vibrant academic environment to the rich social experiences, Cornell offers a holistic growth environment that extends far beyond the classroom walls.

Each day at Cornell is a dynamic blend of academic rigor, social engagement, and personal growth. My schedule is a carefully orchestrated balance of attending classes, tackling assignments, participating in group meetings with my cohort, and immersing myself in the diverse campus culture.

My day typically begins with attending classes, where I have the privilege of learning from distinguished faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. The interactive nature of our classes fosters lively discussions and encourages critical thinking, providing a stimulating intellectual environment that fuels my passion for learning.

Outside of the classroom, I engage with my cohort through regular meetings and collaborative projects. These interactions not only deepen my understanding of engineering but also cultivate invaluable teamwork and leadership skills that will serve me well in my future endeavors.

As a student myself, I emphasize the importance of striking a balance between academic pursuits and social engagement, encouraging everyone to seize every opportunity to explore their interests and cultivate meaningful connections within the Cornell community. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned during my time at Cornell is the importance of networking. Whether it’s connecting with fellow students, alumni, or industry professionals, networking opens doors to new opportunities and expands one’s horizons. So keep networking!

One of the highlights of my day is attending the Karate class, a cherished activity that allows me to unwind and channel my energy into self defense techniques. Taking this course has enabled me to push myself beyond my comfort zone and also helps me relax away from the hectic life of an engineer.

Beyond academics and extracurricular pursuits, Cornell offers a vibrant social scene that is as diverse as it is enriching. Whether it’s exploring the bustling restaurants in the college town with friends or attending campus events and cultural festivals, there is never a shortage of opportunities to connect with others and forge lasting friendships. I conclude with the saying “It’s not the destination, but the journey that matters” and encourage everyone to enjoy the journey at Cornell and cherish the memories created here.

All the best to all the incoming engineering students!!
